Provided is a refrigerating unit which performs equivalent cooling without largely changing configuration components of a refrigeration cycle, even when an alternative refrigerant is used. A heat exchanger to be used for the refrigerating unit is also provided. In the refrigerating unit, a ratio of the number of tubes (20) in a supercooling section (17) to the total of the number of tubes of the condensing section (16) of the heat exchanger (14) and that of the supercooling section (17) is set at a level where a cooling capacity obtained by the supercooling section (17) by an increased enthalpy difference with the same refrigerant flow volume is the cooling capacity in a refrigerating cycle of HFC (134a).
