An encoding and decoding method and means of multiple viewpoint, which mainly includes: The image frame number and viewpoint identifier information, to which auxiliary reference information is applied, are written in the code stream and transmitted to the decoding terminal in the processing of video image encoding for multiple viewpoint. So as to decode and obtain the image frame number and viewpoint identifier information applied auxiliary reference information at the decoding terminal, and determining the auxiliary reference information used by the designated image based on the said frame number and viewpoint identifier information. Farther, the recovering process can be carried into execution for the occurred errors of designated image based on the said auxiliary reference information.
