A backlight driving circuit is provided to select plural output current maximum values using a unified standard backlight driving circuit without changing a sensing resistance value, thereby applying the same backlight driving circuit to LCD panels of various sizes. A backlight driving circuit includes a fixing resistor(25), a variable switching resistor unit(20), and a switching controller(10). The fixing resistor detects an output current of a backlight(15). The variable switching resistor unit is connected to the fixing resistor in parallel and is designed to have a variable resistance value. The switching controller receives the feedback of the output current of the backlight detected by the total resistance value of the fixing resistor and the variable switching resistor unit, and controls an increase or decrease of a pulse gate signal according to the output current. |
