Provided is a control device (20) for controlling display of a display device (10) for displaying a plurality of windows (14) while superimposing them on one another. The control device includes: a detection unit (24) for detecting when a content to be displayed by at least one of the windows has been updated; and an update reporting unit (26) for displaying an update report (18) containing information for identifying the window whose display content has been updated to an update reporting window (16) arranged commonly for the windows upon detection of the update of the display content by the detection unit. Thus, update of the content to be displayed is clearly reported to a user.
