A method and a terminal for controlling the output of a broadcast are provided to support the convenient transition between a broadcast output mode and a storage broadcast output mode. A broadcast receiver(130) receives a broadcast. A storage unit(150) stores the broadcast received by the broadcast receiver. An output unit(160) outputs the broadcast. A controller(170) controls the output unit to display a list, which is constituted of broadcast channels and broadcasts stored in the storage unit, while outputting the broadcast received by the broadcast receiver. When one of the stored broadcasts is selected, the output unit outputs the selected broadcast according to a control signal of the controller. The output unit differently displays at one broadcast channel and at one stored broadcast on the list according to the control signal of the controller.
