A clip lighter is provided to prevent a lighter from slipping out of a pocket and clip couples of pieces of paper by employing a clip. A clip lighter comprises a body with a gas container and a clip. The clip extends from the body of the lighter. The clip has enough elastic force to hold a pocket. The clip can be formed independently from the body of the lighter. The clip holds the pocket to prevent the lighter from falling out of the pocket.
