<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display controller, server and program which can easily designate a dictionary DB at a jump destination in jump function. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 21 executes a gesture input jump program 271, thereby, when an input character is inputted by an inputting part 22, reading out a head word conforming with the input character and explanatory information on the head word from dictionary DBs 273, and displaying them on a display part 23. When a character is designated from among characters being displayed by a user with an input pen, the CPU 21 determines a character type of the character and a character designating method, and selects any dictionary DB from among the dictionary DBs 273.
