<p>An optical transmission medium according to the present invention includes an optical fiber (10) that is made of silica glass. The optical fiber (10) includes a core (12) having a graded-index refractive index profile and a cladding (13) formed around the core (12). The optical fiber (10) is bent by equal to or more than a quarter turn with a curvature radius equal to or larger than 4 mm and equal to or smaller than 10 mm. With this scheme, an optical transmission medium including a GI optical fiber that is capable of making a wiring in a narrow space, such as a wiring in a device, easy, and capable of improving an optical communication bandwidth is provided.</p> |
