PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently burn fuel, for example, by enhancing estimation accuracy of intake air amount. SOLUTION: A control device 100 can reduce deviation of intake air amount sucked in each cylinder for an opening period from an estimated value of intake air amount by preventing change in a working angle and lift amount of an intake valve for the opening period of the intake valve, that is, by maintaining the working angle and lift amount of the intake valve at a constant level. Thus, in an internal combustion engine control method executed by the control device 100, appropriate injection amount and injection timing of fuel can be set in accordance with intake air amount accurately estimated beforehand, and combustion efficiency of an engine 200 can be improved.
