PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humectant synergistically improving moisture retaining effects possessed by collagens or polyglutamic acid and improving the permeability into skin. SOLUTION: The humectant comprises one or two or more kinds selected from the polyglutamic acid and collagens and an extract from Rosmarinus officinalis L. as active ingredients. The moisture-retaining effects possessed by the collagens and the polyglutamic acid are synergistically improved and the permeability into the skin is improved, particularly in the humectant comprising the one or two or more kinds selected from the polyglutamic acid and the collagens and the extract from the Rosmarinus officinalis L. as the active ingredients.
