PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to enjoy an effective musical piece in accordance with a time and also to enjoy a physiologically effective musical piece by using biological information. SOLUTION: A musical piece providing system includes: a musical piece database 10 for recording a plurality of musical pieces to be provided to the user; an effective musical piece database 9 for recording information in a database concerning the effective musical pieces capable of providing a prescribed effect; a time information acquiring means 1 for acquiring time information; an effective musical piece information acquiring means 5 for acquiring effective musical piece information to be recommended at that time from the effective musical piece database 9 according to the acquired time information; and a musical piece specifying means 2 for acquiring the musical piece provided to the user from the musical piece database 10 according to the acquired effective musical piece information, and specifying the musical piece.
