PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in communication traffic in inter-vehicle communication. SOLUTION: This inter-vehicle communication device includes: a communicable vehicle detecting means 14 for detecting a vehicle with which one's own vehicle can communicate; a communicable vehicle information addition means 18 for adding information of a vehicle detected by the communicable vehicle detecting means 14 to information transmitted to other vehicle by a transmission means 12; a second communicable vehicle detecting means 15 for detecting a vehicle which can communicate with a vehicle to which the information is transmitted based on the information received by a receiving means 13; and an out-of-sight vehicle detecting means 16 for comparing the information of the vehicle detected by the communicable vehicle detecting means 14 with the information of the vehicle detected by the second communicable vehicle detecting means 15 to detect a vehicle, which cannot communicate with one's own vehicle and also communicate with a relay vehicle, wherein the relay vehicle is designated to transmit the information of one's own vehicle, and the relay vehicle assigned for the relay vehicle relays the information.
