<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical optical fiber, an optical fiber device and a bundle fiber to be applied to a tubular tissue of a living body for removing a blood clot deposited on the inner wall of the tubular tissue. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber 20 which can be inserted into the tubular tissue 15 inside the living body comprises a glass core layer 11, a coating core layer 12 which coats the glass core layer 11, and a cladding layer 13 which coats the coating core layer 12 and which has a plurality of openings 23 in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 20. The width of the opening 23 in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 20 is narrow in the entrance area of the optical fiber 20, and gradually becomes wider as separated from the entrance area in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 20.
