PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and utilize a plurality of functions of signal processing in a signal processing apparatus. SOLUTION: When an algorithm bay 12 is connected to a signal processing apparatus 11 in a first connection form, a selector unit 34 of the algorithm bay 12 selects a first function, provided from a first function providing unit 32 as a function of signal processing in the signal processing apparatus 11 and switches to the function; whereas when where the algorithm bay 12 is connected to the signal processing apparatus 11 in a second connection form, however, the selector unit 34 of the algorithm bay 12 selects a second function provided by a second function providing unit 33 as a function of signal processing in the signal processing apparatus 11 and switches to the function.
