PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylate resin composition which comprises a siloxane compound as a flame-retardant, excels in flame retardance, and furthermore excels in transparency. SOLUTION: By adding small amounts of a specific polyorganosiloxane and a metal salt of an organic acid to a polyarylate, a resin composition which excels in transparency and excels in flame retardance and furthermore in mechanical properties can be prepared. Specifically, the polyarylate resin composition comprises 100 pts.mass polyarylate resin, 0.05-3 pts.mass polyorganosiloxane, and 0.01-1 pt.mass metal salt of an organic acid.
