PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly display hairs in the same flow as a hair bundle for easily evaluating a change in the bundle width. SOLUTION: The hair image display method includes processes for: selecting a hair area from a hair image; performing edge detection in the hair area to determine an edge directional image by calculation; calculating edge directional relative length of a peripheral pixel to the direction orthogonal to the edge direction of a pixel in the hair area; and imaging the relative length of each pixel in a color/gray image for displaying a hair bundle width image.
