WATER-RESISTANT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resistant composition which exhibits very excellent resistance to hot water as well as to cold water and is highly safe. SOLUTION: The above problem can be solved by a water-resistant composition containing (A) a polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer having a polymerization degree of 300-4,000 and a saponification degree of 85-99.99 mol% and (B) a polyacrylic acid copolymer prepared by the copolymerization of acrylic acid and an acetal group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer and containing 0.1-99 mol% of a unit derived from the acetal group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
