The method involves directing an abrasive medium in a jet (9) at a flat angle of impact to a surface. An impact angle (alpha) between a main jet direction and the surface is of 10 degrees. The abrasive medium comprises grains or balls of plastic, glass, metal, sand, gravel, ceramic, oxides, nitrides, carbides, diamond or diamond-like materials, quartz, corundum, silicon carbide, boron nitride, dry ice, slate, precipitate chalk, tin ash, or cerium oxide. The velocity of the jet is 10 meters per second.
