PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a support information providing method for providing support information with high availability for a user; a support information providing program; and an information providing management system.

SOLUTION: When trouble is caused in a copying machine 500, a control computer 501 performs maintenance designation. When a contact sensor 550 detects operation, the control computer 501 determines whether the contact sensor 550 which detects the operation is a contact sensor 550 installed at a maintenance spot. When the identifier of the detection sensor agrees with the identifier of the aimed sensor and an operation spot is determined to be right, the control computer 501 performs support designation for eliminating the trouble. Furthermore, when the identifier of the detection sensor differs from the identifier of the aimed sensor and the operation spot is determined not to be right, the control computer 501 provides direction designation necessary for eliminating the trouble for the user.
