PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a hologram and a hologram creating apparatus where a hologram created by subjecting a plurality of two-dimensional images to multiple exposure can be colored. SOLUTION: A laser light source whose wavelengths are distant at least≥50 nm is divided into object light Ba and reference light Bb, and the object light Ba is put with a two-dimensional cross-sectional image by a spatial optical modulation element SLM and is emitted to a recording medium 11 for a hologram. Further, the divided reference light Bb is emitted to the recording medium 11 for a hologram, and, interference conditions are recorded, so as to produce a master hologram MH. The master hologram MH is created per two-dimensional cross-sectional image every laser light L of each wavelength. Regarding all the master holograms MH created in this way, the laser light of each wavelength is emitted, and reproduction light Bb4 is emitted to one hologram medium 11. Further, reference light Ba3 is emitted from the opposite side face of a recording medium 21 for reproduction, and a colored multiple tomographic hologram (Lippmann hologram) is created.
