PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bumper stay installing structure and a bumper stay, capable of mechanically joining a stay to the side member tip part side and to the rear surface wall side of a bumper reinforcing material by work from the front wall side of the bumper reinforcing material. SOLUTION: This bumper stay 1 installing structure is respectively joined to the bumper reinforcing material rear surface wall 12 side of a car body and the side member tip part 21 side. The bumper stay 1 is composed of a cup shape of molding an aluminum alloy plate, and a bolt hole 6 is arranged in a bottom part 2 of this cup. The cup bottom part 2 side is joined by a bolt to the side member tip part 21 side via the bolt hole 6 by joining work from the front wall 11 side of the bumper reinforcing material via work opening holes 13 and 14 respectively arranged on the front wall 11 side and the rear surface wall 12 side of the bumper reinforcing material 10 and a cup opening part 3 of the bumper stay.
