A TFT(Thin Film transistor) array panel and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the TFT array panel are provided to form a memory cell storing a data voltage in each pixel to simplify the structure of a data driver and reduce the LCD manufacturing cost. An LCD includes a plurality of gate lines(G1,Gn-1,Gn) for transmitting a gate signal, a plurality of pseudo gate lines(GM1,GMn-1,GMn) for transmitting a pseudo gate signal, a plurality of data lines(D1,D2,D3,Dm) for transmitting a data voltage, a plurality of pixels(PX) respectively connected to the gate lines, the pseudo gate lines and the data lines, a gate driver(400) for generating the gate signal and the pseudo gate signal, and a data driver(500) for generating the data voltage. Each of the pixels includes a first switching element connected to a corresponding pseudo gate line and a corresponding data line, a memory cell connected to the first switching element, a second switching element connected to the gate line and the memory cell, and a liquid crystal capacitor connected between the second switching element and a common voltage. |
