A heat-storing type water heater is provided to prevent the heater from being oxidizing and to maintain the temperature of water of a hot water tank. A heat-storing type water heater includes a hot water tank(1), a heating tank(5), a cover body(9), and a heater(11). The hot water tank stores hot water. The heating tank is installed outside the hot water tank and filled with oil while surrounding the hot water tank. The cover body is installed outside the heating tank and filled with a thermal insulation material(7). The heater is installed inside the heating tank to heat the oil of the heating tank so that water of the hot water is indirectly heated. An water introducing pipe(13) and a water withdrawing pipe(15) protrude to an exterior while passing through the heating tank and the cover body.
