A runner separating device of a mold assembly is provided to locate a separated runner at a constant position for removing the runner automatically by forming an undercut protrusion of a runner pin at a surface of a stripper plate. A runner separating device of a mold assembly comprises the followings: a first fixed plate(10) attached to a side of a molding machine, including a first molding plate(16) with a first shape core(18) and a runner pin(40) installed protruded; a second fixed plate(50) attached to the other side of the molding machine, including a second mold plate(56) with a second shape core(58) forming a space for forming a product in cooperation with the first shape core; a pulling bolt(20) penetrating the first molding plate, hung on the first molding plate at a head part, to make the first molding plate connected to the first fixed plate to be moved; a runner plate(28) installed close to a surface of the first molding plate, and penetrated by the pulling bolt; a stripper plate(30) installed between the runner plate and the first fixed plate and penetrated by the runner pin, to separate a runner(m') formed by a remainder in a path where material forming the product moves and the runner pin; a stop bolt(22) installed in the first fixed plate and connected to the pulling bolt penetrating the stripper plate, to generate a separating force of the runner from the runner pin by restricting a moving stroke of the stripper plate; and an elastic unit(38) supported by the stripper plate and the first molding plate, to supply elastic force for separating the runner plate from the stripper plate before separating the second molding plate from the first molding plate.
