A seven-speed power train for an automatic transmission is provided to reduce the capacitance of an oil pump and improve hydraulic control efficiency by combining one simple planetary gear seat, one compound planetary gear set, four clutches, two brakes and a one-way clutch. A first planetary gear set(PG1) receives rotation power input from an input shaft(IS) through one input passage(IP1), and decelerates it through an intermediate output passage(MOP). A second planetary gear set(PG2) receives same-speed or decelerated rotation power from two input passages(IP2,IP3) of the input shaft and the intermediate output passage of the first planetary gear set through two intermediate input passages(MIP1,MIP2), and shifts and outputs it through a final output passage(OP). Operation elements of the first and second planetary gear sets are coupled to each other by plural frictional members which are connected to a housing(H), and an one-way clutch(OWC).
