A core for winding an optical film for ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) or sputter and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve circularity generated by shrinkage of the plastic core by smoothly processing the outer surface of the core by attaching a reinforcing member with a high surface property, on the outer surface of the core and to prevent elastic degradation at high temperature. A core(12) for winding an optical film(10) for ITO or sputter is composed of an inner paper(13) having a hollow part at the inside and a reinforcing member(14) bonded on the outer peripheral surface of the inner paper in the parallel direction. The thickness of the inner paper is 3.0 to 20.0 mm or 5.0 to 15.0 mm. The thickness of the reinforcing member is 0.1 to 3.0 mm or 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
