An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided for a user to freely change air discharge direction upward or laterally by means of discharge covers. An outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes a case(110) mounted with a heat exchangers(134,136), fan assemblies(200,250) for discharging the air after the heat exchange of the heat exchanger, a plurality of discharge covers(140,150) having outlets(146,156) for discharging the air upward or laterally and forming a part of the case, a scroll(152) mounted on any one of the discharge covers for generating air discharge force, and opening/closing covers(144,154) for covering the outlets of the discharge covers, wherein air discharge direction is variable by exchanging the mounting positions of the discharge covers mounted with the scroll and that without the scroll. |
