An image forming apparatus is provided to implement a stable exit performance by including a stopper returned to an original position by an elastic member when paper is loaded in a paper exit tray. A main body(1) includes a paper exit tray(2). A paper feeder(10), an image forming unit(20), a fixing unit(30), an exit unit(40), and a reversing unit(50) are provided in the main body. The exit unit includes exit rollers(41-43). A stopper is provided between the exit roller and the paper exit tray, is pulled back when a printed sheet of paper is discharged out of the main body, and returns to its original position by an elastic member when paper is loaded in the paper exit tray. The paper exit tray includes a mail wall part and a bottom part. One side of the elastic member is fixed to the main wall part and the other side of the elastic member is fixed to the stopper. The stopper is provided at the main wall part and rotated by the elastic member.
