A control method for cutting off fuel of an automatic transmission is provided to control the direct connection of reduction and to increase the fuel consumption ratio by transmitting a full lock-up state to an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) through CAN(Controller Area Network) communication by a TCU(Transmission Control Unit) by adding a control logic judging the full lock-up state. A control method for cutting off fuel of an automatic transmission comprises the steps of: judging the full lock-up state that RPM(Revolution Per Minute) values of an engine and a turbine are the same and a slip does not exist, in a TCU(S10); transmitting the full lock-up state judged by the TCU, to an ECU(S20); and cutting off the fuel by the ECU receiving the full lock-up state(S30).
