The network has a system of pipes including a main pipe (1), a connecting pipe (2) and branch pipes. An electric data line (4) includes an end connected to a central data distribution unit (3) and another end laid in the system configured as a transmitting/receiving antenna (11) is introduced into the main pipe. An additional data line (6) includes one end connected to a terminal unit (21) and other end configured as a transmitting/receiving antenna (12) is introduced into the system. The antennas (11, 12) form a pair of antennas between which a radio link exists. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting data in a network comprising a system of pipes.
