<p>The navigation equipment (1) comprises at least a digital computer, a receiver for position determination information, at least an exchangeable memory which can accommodate map data, a route determination program for calculation of a route from an actual position information and a destination position, and an input/output component (2) for exchange of position data and/or instructions with the user. The whole is connectable with a navigation hand set (3). The navigation equipment and the navigation hand set are equipped with synchronization devices for matching the actual position information of the navigation hand set with that of the navigation equipment. The navigation hand set has a display (4) which shows the actual position information and operating devices (5) for call-up of route instructions. The releasable navigation hand set has a compass device (6) and during use displays a symbol (7) which represents a following route instruction.</p> |
