A mixed polymer synthetic fiber and a method for producing the same are provided to produce fibrous super absorbent materials formed from biodegradable renewable resources, thereby efficiently applying the fibrous super absorbent materials to absorbent product designs. A mixed polymer synthetic fiber comprises carboxyalkyl cellulose, one of galactomannan polymer and glucomannan polymer, and cellulose fiber. The mixed polymer synthetic fiber further comprises intra-fiber multivalent ion crosslinks. The multivalent metal ion crosslinks include one or more metal ions, which are selected from a group consisting of aluminum compound, titanium compound, bismuth compound, boron compound, and zirconium compound. Further, a 60 to 99 wt.% of carboxyalkyl cellulose is comprised based on the 100 wt.% of mixed polymer synthetic fiber. |
