A compressor control device of an air conditioner for rolling stocks and control method thereof are provided to enable selective driving of compressors depending on increase and decrease of cooling loads, so that each compressor can have similar driving frequency and driving time. A compressor control device of an air conditioner for rolling stocks consists of at least one air conditioner controller(100) connected to a central control unit. The air conditioner controller comprises a serial communication unit(110), a real-time clock chip time compensation unit(130), a time table(140), a former compressor setting unit(160), and an air conditioner load controller(150). The serial communication unit receives an absolute time value from the central control unit. The real-time clock chip time compensation unit is capable of time compensation of the real-time clock chip based on the received absolute time value. The time table includes a predetermined authorized driving time of the compressor. The former compressor setting unit determines a compressor to be driven ahead based on the absolute time value. The air conditioner load controller drives a specific air conditioner based on the absolute time value compensated by the real-time clock chip time compensation unit, the time table, and the compressor to be driven ahead set by the former compressor setting unit.
