PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice operation device that never becomes worse in recognition rate of voice recognition even when a plurality of apparatuses are controlled and can prevent an apparatus from malfunctioning. SOLUTION: The voice operation device 1 is used to remotely control an apparatus 8 for voice operation installed in a room through voice recognition, and equipped with a voice detection unit 2, a voice recognition unit 3 which recognizes voice contents detected by the voice detection unit 2, an operation detection unit 4 which detects a hand movement of a user, an apparatus selection unit 5 which selects an apparatus to be controlled based upon the detection result of the operation detection unit 4, a voice operation unit 6 which remotely controls the apparatus selected by the apparatus selection unit 5 according to the voice contents from the voice recognition unit 3, and an indication unit 7 which informs the user that the apparatus has been operated.
