<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a ceramic discharge vessel without requiring any die or mold for forming a shaped article. <P>SOLUTION: A mixture 15 of ceramic powder, a dispersant, a photo initiator and a resin is formed, and then the mixture has at least 45 vol.% of solid content and viscosity below 50,000 mPa s; a beam 25 of a UV laser 17 is made to scan the whole of a surface 23 by a mirror mechanism 19 to form a green compact having a rough shape of the discharge vessel by locally hardening the ceramic-resin mixture; the green compact is first heated at a temperature of 500-600°C in an inactive atmosphere and successively heated at a temperature of 500-1,350°C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere to form preliminarily sintered compact by removing a hardened resin; and the preliminarily sintered compact is sintered to form the ceramic discharge vessel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
