<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating ammonium ion-containing wastewater which can carry out stable ANAMMOX (Anaerobic Ammonium Oxidation) reaction, and carry out target denitrification treatment surely and smoothly. <P>SOLUTION: In the treatment method, the ammonium ion-containing wastewater is loaded with nitrite ions, and the wastewater is brought into contact with autotrophic bacteria under an anaerobic condition to carry out denitrification reaction where an ammonium ion is an electron donor, and a nitrite ion is an electron acceptor. In the method and apparatus for treating ammonium ion-containing wastewater, the concentration of nitrogen compounds is measured at least one point among water to be treated, the inside of a reaction tank, and treated water, and the loadings of nitrite ions are controlled from the measurement result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
