PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer instrument capable of minimizing decline of a light guide efficiency. SOLUTION: The instrument includes a display board 1 having an index part (display part) 15, a driving device 4 arranged on the back of the display board 1 and having a driving shaft 3, a pointer 7 moving on the display board 1 sequentially with the driving shaft 3, and a light source 5 for illuminating the pointer 7. The pointer 7 indicates the index part 15, and has an indication part 75 comprising a translucent material forming a light emitting domain LA extending longitudinally by introducing light from the light source 5. In the light emitting domain LA, the light emitting width CW on the near side to the light source 5 is formed narrower than the light emitting width FW on the far side from the light source 5 on a light introduction route LP for introducing light from the light source 5, and a cross section shape of the indication part 75 is set in a tapered shape wherein the front side is narrower than the back side.
