<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data output control apparatus capable of displaying image data with different resolution such as high resolution image data and low resolution image data regardless of a small capacity of memory areas. <P>SOLUTION: When a user sets OSD data with high resolution, it is not required to allocate areas for internal LCD display OSD data 4A into a memory as shown in a memory map A40CA shown in Fig. 4(A). On the other hand, when the user sets OSD data with low resolution, it is not required to allocate areas for external video display OSD data 4B into the memory as shown in a memory map B40CB shown in Fig. 4(B).
