PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a fashionable decoration of a composite color, and to provide a decorated body of the composite color with the method. SOLUTION: The method for making the decoration of the composite color comprises: the first step of arranging a preliminary layer having at least electroconductivity on the surface to be decorated; the second step of printing a fine color pattern on the decorated surface of the preliminary layer by using predetermined printing ink; the third step of plating the surface to be decorated except the printed part of the color pattern with a metal having adequate electrodeposition properties (mainly Cu plating or Ni plating) so as to rise along an edge of the fine color pattern; and the fourth step of plating the surface which is plated with a metal having the adequate electrodeposition properties, with a decorative metal. Thus formed decorated body of the composite color has both of the printed color pattern section and the decorative metal plated section. The method also includes: forming a print of the color pattern with an extra fine line with a line width of 50μm or smaller, or a pattern drawn by the extra fine line or a dot image; and fixing the color pattern after having printed it.
