An information reproducing device includes a TS separation section 210 which extracts a first TS packet for generating image data, a second TS packet for generating sound data, and a third TS packet other than the first and second TS packets from a transport stream, a memory 220 including first to third memory area in which the first to third TS packets are respectively stored, an image decoder 230 which performs image decoding based on the first TS packet stored in the first memory area, and a sound decoder 240 which performs sound decoding based on the second TS packet stored in the second memory area. The image decoder 230 and the sound decoder 240 independently read the first and second TS packets from the memory 220 and perform the image decoding and the sound decoding.
