<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio equipment which performs transmission/reception using a MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) communication system, wherein automatic gain control at the time of reception is facilitated without increasing power consumption at the time of transmission. <P>SOLUTION: A variable coupler 3 is disposed between an antenna A and an antenna B, and a coupling amount of the variable coupler 3 between the antenna A and the antenna B is controlled by a coupling control device 432 so as to be increased at the time of reception and to be decreased at the time of transmission. By decreasing the coupling amount between the antenna A and the antenna B at the time of transmission, the antennas A and B are prevented from absorbing transmission signals each other and increase in power consumption at the time of transmission is suppressed. By increasing the coupling amount between the antenna A and the antenna B at the time of reception, a signal level difference of reception signals to be processed in radio high-frequency sections 41a, 41b is reduced so as to facilitate control of an automatic gain control device 431. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
