<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve optical characteristics by improving heat dissipation. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device is provided with a substrate 2 which has: an upper surface and a lower surface; a light emitting element 5 which is mounted in the upper surface of the substrate 2; a frame 4 with an upper surface in which a step 4b is provided, and is provided so as to surround the light emitting element 5 on the substrate 2; a sheet-shaped member 8 which is made of a light transparency material and is fixed to a part in which the step 4b of the frame is provided; and a heat dissipating plate 6 which is provided in the lower surface of the substrate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
