PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission/reception system capable of accommodating a data amount accumulated at a buffer in a receiver within a predetermined range. SOLUTION: While a buffer amount detector 18 detects a data amount accumulated in a buffer 15 at a predetermined timing, the detector 18 adjusts a data sending-out interval according to the accumulated amount, based on a clock signal inputted from a clock formation portion 14. If it is above an upper limit reference value defined beforehand, a predetermined clock number interval is shortened. If it is below a lower limit reference value, the predetermined clock number interval is lengthened.
