PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothpick which is hardly broken at its tip. SOLUTION: A tapered surface 4 in which one end of a main body 2 cut into a specified length is formed into a tapered shape made gradually thinner toward its tip end, and a cut surface is formed to become a flat surface 3 by cutting the main body 2 in a diagonal direction to cross the longitudinal direction of the main body 2, leaving a part of the tapered surface 4.
