<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-suspending and oil-retaining bearing capable of improving the rotation efficiency of a motor and attaining a long service life for the motor. <P>SOLUTION: This oil-suspending and oil-retaining bearing has a hole 31 for a spindle 11 of a rotor 100 in a penetrating manner in a bearing 30. A slotted ring 32, with an absorbent material 33 inserted beforehand, is mounted to the periphery of at least one end of the bearing 30 penetrated by the hole 31, and the end and periphery of the bearing 30 are provided with a plurality of guide grooves 34, 35. Consequently, when lubricating oil seeps and diffuses due to the agitation of the spindle 11, the rising lubricating oil is collected by the guide grooves 34, 35 and is led to the slotted ring 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
