PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve insertion property of an oil level gauge to a level gauge guide. SOLUTION: The oil level gauge 1 includes a thin plate shape gauge part 3 inserted in the level gauge guide 2 and a grip part 4 gripped when the gauge part 3 is inserted in the level gauge guide 2, and the gauge part 3 is connected to the grip part 3 in such a manner that the gauge part 3 can rotate around an axis along a longitudinal direction of the gauge part 3. Consequently, the oil level gauge 1 can be always smoothly inserted in the level gauge guide 2 irrespective of angles at a time of insertion of the oil level gauge 1 to the level gauge guide 2, and workability of a worker can be improved.
