An interactive television video-on-demand program guide system having a main display screen is provided in which a program guide display is displayed on the viewer's television equipment that displays at least one video-on-demand program and allowing the viewer to request a video clip preview of a video-on-demand program represented by the video-on-demand program listing, and an indication that the video clip preview is available for the video-on-demand program.
