<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current collector easy to be formed capable of reducing the internal resistance of a battery and effectively preventing an increase in the internal resistance of the battery accompanied by charge and discharge even in the case of using it in combination with a solid polymer electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The current collector for a solid polymer electrolyte secondary battery has a base material containing a conductive material, and a noble metal layer or a carbon layer formed at least on a part of the base material. The thickness of the noble metal layer or the carbon layer is 5 to 10,000 nm.
