<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables a user to correctly understand, on a display screen, the structure of a position where a jam occurs, and a jam procedure. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has a plurality of conveying paths for conveying paper. In an LCD display 104 for showing the position where the jam occurs in one of the conveying paths, the position where the jam occurs is schematically displayed on the external view 104a of the apparatus.
