摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a catalyst, in particular, an electrocatalyst having a uniform composition, capable of carrying minute noble metal-transition metal composite alloy fine particles on a conductive carrier, and exhibiting high catalyst activity. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the catalyst includes processes of: (i) preparing an inverse micelle solution (A) containing transition metal ions in micelles and preparing an inverse micelle solution (B) containing a hydroxide of a transition metal in micelles by adding a precipitant in the inverse micelle solution (A); (ii) preparing a solution (C) containing noble metal ions to set pH above pH preventing the hydroxide of the transition metal from being eluted; (iii) preparing an inverse micelle solution (D) containing a noble metal-transition metal composite alloy fine particle precursor by mixing the inverse micelle solution (B) prepared in the process (i) in the solution (C) having pH adjusted in the process (ii); and (iv) obtaining composite alloy fine particles by reducing the noble metal-transition metal composite alloy fine particle precursor formed in the process (iii) and thereafter carrying the composite alloy particles on the conductive carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
